Gamelan Dewi Malam will be playing for the FREE Reception with the Artists for the new exhibition PRESCIENCE REMAINS at Tohono Chul, on Thursday February 16 from 5:30-8:00pm.
About the artists:
Kate Breakey and Barbara Rogers have each created bodies of work that exalt the castaway, celebrating the wonder and beauty of nature while confidently looking forward, steadfast in the belief that beauty is found everywhere, has many meanings, and benefits us all.
One of downtown Tucson's longest-running artists, Gavin Hugh Troy has been a fixture since he moved here in 1998. Prolific - Troy allows every experience to filter into his creative process.
Tucson-based ceramist Rebecca Bish has created a body of work that chronicles a period of tremendous personal loss. Her ceramic pieces reflect an elegiac and optimistic consciousness that is intimate and universal. “I hope the work recognizes and bears witness to our shared grief. That it may, in the end, express a sense of hope.”
Admission is free.
